On Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Giants benched their most dangerous runner, Ahmad Bradshaw, in the first half of the game as he has violated the team rules. Wearing Ahmad Bradshaw Giants jersey, Bradshaw admitted he violated team rules, though it’s reported that he violated team curfew. Of course, neither Bradshaw or Tom Coughlin would confirm that he wore New York Giants jerseys and violated team curfew.
According to Coughlin, it’s strictly in house that Bradshaw violated in the game. At the same time, Bradshaw added that he later apologized to the team. It marked the fourth time in Coughlin’s tenure that he had benched a player for disciplinary reasons.
Coughlin ever benched cornerback Aaron Ross for the first half of a win over the Jets in 2007 for breaking curfew. Meanwhile, he also benched wide receiver Plaxico Burress twice, once in 2005 and once in 2008. And Bradshaw is the fourth time.
